Hollow Wire Machine
Hollow wire machine was planned and built to carry out two slots (an upper and a lower one) on tombac (supplied in skeins). In the next phase a metal (gold or another alloy) plate will be wound up around the tombac and will be folded into the upper slot and the welding wire will be inserted into the lower one. During the output phase a wire-drawing machine with rolls will form the tube according to a square section so as to facilitate the next rolling procedures. The milling cutters are widia ones. This machine consists of a box-like metal bench housing, in its upper part, the groups of driving, straightening and wire-drawing rolls. The adjustable speed motors for milling and driving are located on both sides of the machine.
The control switchboard panel is located on the upper part of the machine.
MAIN SECTION OF THE HOLLOW WIRE MACHINE
- WIRE-STRAIGHTENING UNIT
- THRUST-ROLLS UNIT
- MILLING UNIT
The milling-cutting unit works under cooling liquid which is sprayed through nozzles by means of a special pump.
- PULLING-ROLLS UNIT
- Unit referring to the first phase of tube-winding procedure
- insertion of the metal plate
- driving function and forming of tongues on the plate to allow the folding of it onto the grooves of the profile.
- Insertion of a weld-sealed wire into the special groove of the profile
- Unit referring to the second phase of tube-winding procedure
- pulling
- and forming
- and winding of the metal plate around the profile.
- Unit referring to the THIRD phase of tube-winding procedure
